Terms of Use
AKA Cowsultancy SIA, Graudu 3-2, Carnikava, Ādažu novads, LV-2163, reg. no. 40203378738 hereinafter referred to as the online store – provides the content available on the website and provides services in accordance with the Terms of Use set out below.
1. General Terms
If the User purchases goods/services through the website, then such mutual agreement is considered a Distance Contract and is subject to the legal norms of the Republic of Latvia that regulate distance contracts, including, but not limited to, the “Consumer Rights Protection Law” of the Republic of Latvia, the regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia “Regulations on Distance Contracts”, etc.
The Terms of Use may be amended. Users will be informed of amendments to the Terms of Use. If the online learning platform is used after amendments to the Terms of Use, it is considered that the User has agreed to the amendments.
2. Making purchases
Detailed information about the price, duration, content and procedure of the course of the products (lectures) offered in the Online Store is available in the description of each course. The User is obliged to familiarize himself with this information before choosing a course. Cowsultancy.com is not obliged to provide a refund to the User for a quality course only because the course content does not meet the User’s subjective understanding and expectations of the content, since information about the content was available in a timely manner.
To place an order, the selected lecture courses must be added to the shopping cart. It is necessary to fill in all required fields. The total cost of the order is then displayed on the screen. To complete the order, the purchase must be paid for using the specified payment methods.
After payment, an invoice confirming the payment and the information necessary to access the User’s account will be sent to the e-mail.
The User can access the purchased lectures using the specified username or e-mail. You can join the online course platform on the website www.cowsultancy.com by clicking on the “Join” button.
3. Payment terms
The settlement currency on the website is the euro. You can pay for the purchase by choosing the following payment methods provided by the payment platform makecommerce.lv, Maksekeskus AS:
Latvian internet banking payments: Swedbank, SEB, Citadele and Luminor
Visa/Mastercard card payments
NB! Using the internet banking payment method, confirm the order and click on the “Return to merchant” button.
Personal data required for payment are transferred to the licensed payment institution Maksekeskus AS.
The contract comes into force upon successful payment to the online store’s bank account. If for some reason it is impossible to fulfill the order, the Buyer will be informed of this and the amount paid will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than within 14 days after receiving the notification.
If an invoice is required for a legal entity, it can be requested by sending an e-mail to info.cowsultancy@gmail.com.
4. Access Terms
After successful payment, lecture course recordings are available on the website. The User receives access to the course lecture videos and additional materials in accordance with the instructions in the course description. Lecture videos can be viewed at any time and place.
The User can log in to his/her profile using the specified username or e-mail. It is possible to join the learning platform on the website www.cowsultancy.com by clicking on the “Join” button.
Lectures are available in the User’s user profile for an unlimited period of time as long as Cowsultancy.com continues its operations (unless another access period is specified).
Lectures are not sent by e-mail, and they cannot be downloaded from the website. It is possible to download lecture presentations and other additional materials, as well as make your own lecture notes.
In each lecture course section, it is possible to add a comment and ask questions. Depending on the availability of the lecturer and the number of questions, answers will be provided within a few days or a few weeks. You can also provide constructive feedback in the comments section.
Cowsultancy.com has the right to cancel, postpone or change the order of lectures or courses in case of unforeseen situations. Cowsultancy.com will immediately inform you about the changes by sending a notification to the e-mail specified by the User.
5. Right of withdrawal
The User has the right to refuse the goods within 14 calendar days from the moment of receiving the Service. The right of withdrawal does not apply if the Buyer is a legal entity.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must submit a withdrawal form, which can be found here: https://forms.gle/4HTfkfFWggRzAdXf6. The right of withdrawal must be exercised within 14 days after receiving access.
The online store is not responsible for delays in fulfilling or non-fulfillment of obligations, or other non-fulfillment due to circumstances and obstacles beyond the reasonable control of the online store.
6. Obtaining a certificate of course completion
At the end of the course, the User has the opportunity to take a final test. If at least 70% of the questions are answered correctly, an electronic certificate of course completion is automatically sent.
Cowsultancy.com is not an educational institution. Taking courses does not guarantee the possibility of receiving credits or registering the course fee on the tax return as eligible education expenses.
7. Intellectual property rights
The content of the courses, including graphics, editorial and other content, data, formatting, designs, fonts, charts, HTML, photographs, music, sounds, images, software, videos and other content available to the User through the Cowsultancy.com services, is an intellectual property object protected by law.
It is not allowed to use, including copying, modifying, reproducing, downloading, reconfiguring, etc., the intellectual property object without the prior written consent of Cowsultancy.com. Any use of the intellectual property object without prior permission is prohibited (except for use permitted by law).
By gaining access to the courses, the User is granted the right to use the content available on Cowsultancy.com for educational purposes for twelve months from the start of the course.
7. Processing of the Buyer’s personal data
The online store processes only the personal data that the User has entered when ordering the service, such as name, surname, e-mail, etc.
If the User has explicitly agreed to receive Cowsultancy.com marketing communications, including news, we may contact you from time to time by sending information about our services and latest offers. For this purpose, we may process the User’s e-mail address specified when signing up for marketing communications. The Buyer has the opportunity to opt out of marketing communications by notifying us about this by writing to info.cowsultancy@gmail.com.
8. Dispute resolution procedure
In matters not covered by these terms and conditions, the Buyer and the Seller undertake to comply with the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Latvia.
The Parties shall resolve all disputes arising between the Seller and the Buyer through mutual negotiations or correspondence. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiations or correspondence, the Parties shall resolve the dispute in the court of the Republic of Latvia, in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes between the Buyer (consumer) and the Seller may be referred for resolution to the Consumer Rights Protection Center or the court of the Republic of Latvia.
The Buyer also has the right to apply to the dispute resolution institutions of the European Union.
